We share every step of the hiring process we use at Memberstack. We hope this comes in handy when you're hiring for various job roles. Feel free to reach out and ask us any questions!

Begin Contract and Onboard

💡 Create the contract and onboard your new team member! You want to make the onboarding process as simple as possible.

Contract

  1. Onboard the hire: Offer a freelance or contract position with a potential transition to full-time after a set period.
  2. Include contract deadlines: Set clear milestones or deliverables + an end date in the contract to provide an easy way out if the hire doesn't work out.

Onboarding

We put together an onboarding notion doc for our new hires. We usually split the document into multiple sections.

  • Monday (or the first day)
    • We put together a to do list for the first day, like activating your email, posting your intro message etc
  • Tuesday-Friday
    • Get settled into tasks, start building
  • Week Two
    • Co-working calls with Duncan/Tyler
  • Ongoing
    • Daily standups
    • Project tracker
    • Ongoing tasks

“Welcome to the team, Ranis (Ronen) 👋🎉

I’ve structured this doc to (hopefully) give you only the information you need around the time you will need it. On your first day you only need to worry about the “Day One” section.“
